GYM MEMBER OF THE MONTH : Karen Sancto

How long have you been a member of Avenue Tennis? 
I've been a member since May 2018 after my Dad, who was already a member, gently persuaded me to come along as his guest and I haven't looked back since!

Tell us about your experience with your Personal Trainers and your wellness journey... 
I was a member of a different gym, and never entertained the idea of doing classes, due to my lack of confidence. However, with some encouragement from my Dad, I gave the classes here a go, and I am so glad I did.

Adam was probably one of the first Personal Trainers I had a class with, and I can't praise him enough. Adam is highly motivating, patient and a fantastic all-round trainer, who makes me want to work hard and push myself to my limits and sometimes beyond when he feels I'm capable of more!  

My Wellness journey with Sarah has shown me that exercising is not the only means of being fit and that eating right is just as important as exercise, if not more so. Sarah is inspiring and more than happy to change my programme to suit my needs. Overall my fitness levels are much higher than when I first started, and my body shape has changed considerably for the better. 

I enjoy coming to this gym; it has now become an integral part of my day to day life. I've also made some fantastic friends along the way which is an added bonus.  

What is your next step? 
My next step is to make my diet regime meet my commitment to the exercise regime and to have a little more belief in my abilities to hopefully improve my fitness even further.

Adam
It has been a real pleasure training with Karen here at Avenue Tennis. What makes Karen stand out to me is her ability to overcome any challenge while always taking on any advice that has been given.

From the time Karen started participating in group fitness classes to now, the most rewarding element for me is seeing how her confidence has grown as well as her passion for fitness. Karen's technique in classes has greatly improved, and this is due to her natural ability to work hard but at the same time, always looking for ways to work smarter while exercising. As a result, Karen's strength has greatly improved, to a point wherein Body Pump, she will match my own weight selections while pumping out over 120 reps nonstop.

Karen is a well-loved and valued member here at Avenue Tennis. This is clear to see in classes and the gym as Karen will always be one of the first to join in with challenges and will often encourage others to go that little further. Her friendly and welcoming nature makes others feel comfortable and able to approach Karen and feel very welcomed.

I look forward to seeing Karen go from strength to strength with her technique and to continue to follow her passion and love for fitness. Keep up the excellent work.

Karen has been a fantastic client, and I'm thrilled to have been a part of Karen's journey. I was very keen to help Karen as she showed great energy and enthusiasm towards reaching her goal.

Karen wanted to lose weight/body fat and generally feel better about herself; Karen has been consistent throughout her whole journey.

Karen has changed her body shape and improved her fitness, and that's all down to her hard work and dedication, I am incredibly proud of Karen of how much she has achieved over this past year and her confidence and grown massively.

I look forward to the next stage of her journey training.
