GYM MEMBER OF THE MONTH: Kah Mah

How long have you been a member of Avenue Tennis?
I joined Avenue Tennis in September 2021 after nearly 2 1/2 years of Physiotherapies (outside) and a severe injury to my pelvis. The gym was always the next step to recovery.

Tell us about your experience with your Personal Trainer, Adam Church and your Wellness journey so far.
My Physiotherapist advised me to work with a Personal Trainer after the conclusion of my treatments. I met Adam back in September, and he has been a great help to my recovery, focusing on strengthening my wasted muscles due to many years of only being able to do the basics. He helped me with my core strength and rediscovered unused muscles. Adam tailored my weekly sessions to focus on different parts of my body and make the sessions fun and challenging. I’ve now come a good way to where I want to be and, hopefully, where I would like to achieve in the future.

What is your next step here at Avenue Tennis?
I want to continue my journey so far by doing what I’m doing and by joining more challenging classes when I feel I’ve built up my stamina and of course be able to start playing tennis soon.

Personal Trainer: Adam Church
Kah has been a fantastic client, and I always leave our sessions with a smile. For Kah, my goal was to help her enjoy fitness and the benefits of exercise. Also, we wanted to help support and improve Kah's lower back issues from the past. From challenging her balance to improving her mobility, she is always keen to give anything a try, no matter what I throw at her. This has been important to her recovery and allows me to design workouts tailored for her needs without limitations.

Kah is a perfect example of how wonderful the members are here at Avenue Tennis. She is always so chatty and keen to try out everything we offer. From Omnia to Body Balance and Table Tennis to Badminton, it's always a pleasure to hear about how Kah and her family enjoy being here.

But, more importantly for me, Kah has worked so hard to develop her own fitness, and the progress she has made has purely been down to her own hard work and enjoyment.

Our next step will be to try some of the new classes which are coming with the new Strength and conditioning room and timetable.
