Member of the month : Kraig Liston

How long have you been a member of Avenue Tennis?
I was looking for a Gym in January after deciding this was going to be the year I was going to make a change and get healthy.  I went and viewed Avenue Tennis and decided it was the Heath Club for me, so I joined as a Founder member which gave me first access from the 20th March.

Tell us about your experience with your Personal trainer (Sarah Cooper) and your wellness journey ...
Sarah is an amazing Personal trainer who I feel has a firm but fair approach to training and always gets the best out of me in any training I do with her. She has a vast knowledge of all types of fitness but has worked with me to create a weights program that will help me build muscle, get stronger and burn body fat. She has also helped me so much with my nutrition, taught me some valuable life lessons and that you also can’t out train a bad diet. We have a catch up every few weeks where we take my measurements to see how my body composition is changing on the Tanita Machine and review my Training program and make changes if needed.

What goals have you achieved so far in this brief period and how often you visit the club?
I have lost 3 Stone since January which includes three months now at Avenue Tennis.  I try and come every day when life allows, whether that's doing my training program, cardio or participating in one of the group classes or even taking the time to relax in the health suite.

What is your next step?
I want to keep going with my training to get fitter, stronger and keep bringing my body fat percentage down.  I’ve also been watching a few games of tennis while being at the club and feel I should finally give that a go too.

Kraig first had his wellness starter with me on the 9th March, and we discussed his goals, he explained that already he has lost two stone but wanted to lose another 2-3 stone and reduce his bodyfat by the end of the year. I designed a weights programme and guided him in the right direction with his nutrition. 

I have pushed Kraig with his training and helped clean up his diet; we have regular updates to make sure he is on track and maintaining his motivation.

Kraig has worked so hard and what an amazing client he is, he has never given up and always listens to advise and always gives 100% in every training sessions. 

I am very proud of what he has achieved so far as Kraig has already lost a stone in weight, maintained high motivation and drive. Keep up the excellent work.
