Have you ever thought of going meat-free?

There are a few of us at Avenue Tennis who have recently changed to a vegetarian or vegan diet. More and more people now realise that eating animal-based food isn’t necessary. A vegetarian or vegan diet is not only good for your health, but it's also beneficial to the planet. The more and more you investigate eating animal-based food, the more you realise that eating meat isn’t essential, plus it's even bad for the planet we live on.

The average British carnivore eats more than 11,000 animals in their lifetime, each requiring vast amounts of land, fuel and water to reach the plate. People worry about getting enough protein in their diet if they cut out meat. However, this isn’t a problem at all; you just need to be more experimental with your food. The more you research, the more you realise meat-free diets can be delicious.
