Fitness & Festivities
It’s well and truly the festive season! November means that small section of Christmas products is now taking over your entire shopping experience and your office party is only a few weeks away if not sooner. The gym early birds already know, the sun doesn’t come up till after your workout. With all these things combined it can be really hard to stay motivated and keep your festive fitness lorry ahead of Coca-Cola’s!
For us as fitness instructors it comes as second nature, we’re obsessed, but for our members we understand that it can sometimes be a challenge to get into the gym regularly during this time. So, what can you do to help yourself?
Make fitness just as important as work meetings
Put it in your diary, a non-negotiable meeting with yourself and your fitness. You’ll get alerts on your phone and having that time blocked out will allow you to schedule your other commitments around your gym or sports session.
Lean on your Fitness Team
The fitness team and I are here to do one thing – help you succeed. Come in and find us on the gym floor, book in a Wellness Review or a PT session. We are always happy to help you with new exercises, programs or recommending classes for you to try.
Go to a Class
Working out alone can be boring! On days where I’m not as motivated myself, I go to a class, it’s fun, you meet new people and workout buddies. And you can always grab a coffee in the bar with everyone afterwards.
Keep it simple
Grab a friend and go for a walk (remember to wrap up!) or bring them into the gym on a guest pass. Anything you can think of to keep yourself moving, in or out of the gym, will keep your momentum rolling.
