Member of the month: JULIE HUSSEY
How long have you been a member of Avenue Tennis?
I have been a member of Avenue Tennis since the opening in March 2017.
Tell us about your experience with your Personal Trainer (Chess Adams) and your wellness journey...
Having been a member of a gym previously, I was starting to get bored of the routine, joining Avenue Tennis gave me a new focus. Jacob set me up with my initial programme, and it was good to try out new things. I was also encouraged to try different classes, and I think I covered most of them at the start. I have now got my favourites which I like to attend regularly. Not having played tennis before I thought I would also give cardio tennis a go which I really enjoy and try to attend weekly.
I feel the encouragement, and the enthusiasm from all the trainers helps with my motivation. Also, the leaderboard and the challenges that are set help to push me further.
What is your next step?
I intend to carry on with what I am doing and to push myself to accomplish the tasks I set myself, and to stay motivated along the way!
Julie has been consistent all year round and always has a smile on her face. Julie does a mixture of gym, classes and tennis too. Leading up to Christmas we set a challenge for our members to burn 8500 calories in 3 weeks using our fobbed only machines (cardiovascular equipment, resistance machines and spin bikes) however Julie hit this in an amazing two weeks! Her determination is one of many reasons why the whole fitness team wanted to nominate Julie as Member of the Month. Well done Julie and keep up the challenging work.
