MEET THE TEAM - CHESS ADAMS, PERSONAL TRAINER
Chess has been a certificated personal trainer and class instructor for around three years and part of the Avenue Tennis team since January 2017.
Chess has always had an interest in the fitness industry and decided to start her training to become a personal trainer in 2015. She has always had a great interest in living a healthy lifestyle due to growing-up within the dance industry. Chess decided to take a step back from dancing to focus on something she knew would be the start of her career.
Chess: "I have had lots of opportunities within the fitness industry, and I am looking forward to the future. I'm looking forward to motivating and encouraging our members to reach their goals whatever they may be."
Since becoming a personal trainer, Chess has trained a wide variety of different clients. She is passionate about helping people reach their specific goals whether that’s to fit into a dress for a special occasion or to help with improving fitness alongside another sport. Since being at Avenue Tennis, Chess decided to learn more about tennis and started helping a few members with their tennis skills in the gym. Tennis members who have trained with Chess have seen the benefits from their training sessions in their tennis matches. She focuses on technique and mobility of the body to prevent injury and also to help current injuries. This helps with the long-term effects on the body.

"Although I love to spend lots of time training in the gym and keeping focused, I am very family orientated. I enjoy spending time with my family doing various activities. Some of my greatest achievements are from when I was dancing. I was fortunate that I got the chance to perform in one of London’s most prominent theatres...the London Palladium in 2009."
